Get It Down; 31 for 21

Yesterday I shared pictures of our extended family and how important family is to my children. Age doesn’t seem to matter to any of them since they just love being around each other. The bond between cousins is strengthened each time they are together. Today I want to reflect on Elly’s diagnosis and it’s impact on “the cousins”.

There have been cousins who have spoken out about how “cool” kids with Down syndrome are. Their have been cousins who have laughed and cried with Elly. There have been cousins who have chosen “Down syndrome Awareness” for their platform. There have been cousins who have walked in the Buddy Walk. There are cousins who watch Signing Time.  There are cousins who are convinced that all life is precious. There are cousins who are proud of Elly. This picture features a pencil drawing of Elly by cousin Alex in art class. Isn’t it great! God Bless “the cousins”.
