Every spring we get together with some good friends of ours to celebrate spring birthdays of our godchildren.   The kids look forward to the fun park and just being together.  As you can tell, Elly loved the cupcakes - especially the frosting!

Nephew Dean came this May and will be here through August.  He will graduate from Concordia College, Mequon WI in December and has a summer internship at the Old Log Theater in Excelsior!   He is getting some wonderful experience and  enjoy having him.  We don’t actually see him all that much because he works alot of hours doing set, lighting and sound for Leaving Iowa (a wonderful comedy) and he is stage manager for The Bremen Town Musicians (the children’s production we haven’t gotten to see yet).

Nephew Casey graduated from high school on May 18th and mom and I traveled down to celebrate with him.  We had a great weekend and are so proud of him.  He plans to attend the University of Alabama Huntsville in the fall.

We did manage to get in a few trips to the MN Landscape Arboretum this spring while the tulips were in bloom.  It was windy, but I still took lots of fun pictures of our sweet Elly in the tulips!  I look forward to visiting the tulip gardens again next spring and plan to make it an annual pilgrimage.
