World Down Syndrome Day
Posted by familysnows on 21 Mar 2007 | Tagged as: Down syndrome Awareness, Elly

Today is World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) as marked by Down Syndrome International (DSI). The date was chosen to signify the uniqueness of Down syndrome in the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome and is used synonymously with Down syndrome. More information can be found here. Rebecca from Just a little bit of something extra was the first to wish us a Happy WDSD! Thanks Rebecca, I hope that you and Miss E had a wonderful day! Here is a picture of my little angel to celebrate the day!
